The group described a series of frequencies in the VHF and UHF radios, which are reserved for business use. They are generally less densely populated than the public frequencies, so they have less resistance Chat with unrelated parties. The exact frequencies of these band uses depends on your national regulatory authority, because this is not a global service.

Do I really need a two-way radio business for two?

Business two-way radios are more expensive than consumer radios, but their properties are usually very similar. However, there are a number of reasons why you better be, would use more expensive two-way radio business for your company, rather than FRS GMRS radios.

Licensing issues and energy

We can easily exclude the FRS radios on our list, because its limit of 0.5 watts of power transmission makes it unsuitable for commercial use reliably at distances of more than half a mile. GMRS radios, on the other hand, looks a little tempting. The problem with them is that GMRS means licenses only to persons (and their immediate family members), which means that each employee would be in your company who wants to use a radio, a permit need be issued (unless a lead family, of course) to $ 80 per license.

These licenses are good for five years after they have to be reissued. Licensed by the band for your business (ie all employees) costs $ 105. While the initial acquisition of two-way radio business is a bit more expensive, you will actually save money in the long-term licensing and enjoy a better service.

Battery Life

Radio Business two-way batteries usually contain much larger, so that they able to exercise more than 12 hours per charge. Radios for consumption, on the contrary, smaller batteries that can operate for about 8 hours.

Accessories

Commercial radio stations usually have a better selection of accessories, the consumer radios. If accessories such as headsets or earpieces, are important to your business, you should have at any accessories before selecting a radio search. Things like fast chargers, multi-unit chargers are available for commercial radio available.

Durability

Another important factor is the durability of two-way commercial radios. While consumer radios are designed for occasional use, commercial radio products are designed to accommodate up to much abuse. Their design is much more robust and with better materials. Many are built to military specifications. This is, of course, in addition to their larger batteries, making them a little heavier than consumer two-way radios.

Judgment

With the above information in mind, it should now be obvious why a professional who takes seriously their communication, is a bunch of two-way radio business was to get to.

In these days of cell communication is often difficult for them to remember that radio communication between two parties is not private. Every radio amateur knows, but it seems that was in 1971 some of the bank robbers were still not quite got the idea, so when Robert Rowland, an avid amateur radio, the center of London, s is’ install with his radio and a nice cup Tea on a Saturday night, he heard a conversation much more interesting than what he expected. We know, because he is much of what he heard, recorded, and in 2008 he dug the tapes that the event could be made into a film. By the time the crime was known as the “Walkie Talkie Robbery,” the film is called “The Bank Job”.

When Rowland first conversation he heard the thieves thought they would steal a cigar store and called the local police. They seemed more fun than Mr. Rowlands significant suggesting that, to see if he could hear voices no longer funny “get it on tape. A frustrated Mr. Rowland did just that, with the help of a computer tape that was used to Spanish . learn

Finally, a local policeman came round, but was soon dismissed. Mr. Rowland called the police again, but finally exasperated by their lack of response and the apparent theft on radio, he called Scotland Yard, headquarters of the Metropolitan Police.

Simple two plainclothes policemen arrived Rowland Flat in 4th Floor in Wimpole Street in London and sat down with Rowland all night, listening to the thieves. The morning came and I heard two more officers on the development of Sunday, but a police control at local banks were not uncommon (outside) Monday morning when the staff arrived at the Lloyds Bank in London, Baker Street (not far from the apartment of famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes took) them, that most of the safes of thieves who were digging a tunnel from a nearby shop emptied and left in a bank vault on the ground.

So far, this seems like a story of incompetence. Rowlands knew that to get on his radio, as a strong signal that the theft has occurred within a mile and a half, was the flight began on Saturday evening and also Sunday – probably the time sufficient to find authorities to blame.

The story made headlines, and then suddenly stopped. Scotland Yard took the tapes and journalists have been turned off when they tried to question Mr. Rowland warned. Then the police will actually threatened to sue Mr. Rowland for listening to a radio station without a license.

No one knows exactly what happened, four thieves were captured and imprisoned, but money and other items were stolen never recovered, and were involved in safe, no one knows exactly what was taken. And therein lies the secret. In the following years there were many scandals surrounding high-ranking members of the police, he, and a rumor that you had a safe contained photos of an affected member of the British royal family, while others contained evidence of police corruption at the highest levels, what a charge of prosecutions and resignations in the late 1970s.

With the release of the film, several British newspapers rush to Mr. Rowland, the amateur radio enthusiast, who had recorded the conversation. He explained that the tapes were six years returned to him after the flight. The Daily Mail reports, even in conversation with one of the real thieves, who declined to comment any pictures of the royal person, but said the thieves were disgusted too many bad pornographic pictures in the fields where it was found left in place so the police could trace the owner.

Amateur radio or ham radio is enjoying a hobby radio enthusiasts. This is a hobby and a service that uses radio equipment to communicate with other radio amateurs. The operation of amateur radio is a hobby that requires a license. The first step to engage in this hobby is a good device for the amateur radio to get. The best way is to take the advice and assistance of a person with knowledge of the Ham radio, if you want to buy it. You should also be aware that technical details, and local laws that prevail in respect of operations of ham.

If you want to continue the operation of amateur radio as a hobby, you must first get to know everything. The Internet is a good source of information and offer you everything you want to know. Other sources of information, is to read through the available books on the subject or talk to other ham operators who can provide you with ideas on the subject. However, if you have no idea at all operations on the ham, but have found themselves fascinated by it, then you need to learn about some of the jargon. Only a fascination or desire can not support a hobby. If you are serious about the operation of amateur radio as a hobby, you need time and effort to get to know about it and work to devote to your destination.

Operation of Ham is sometimes tedious, even with modern equipment and can be quite stressful, find to communicate with other radio operators. However, you will be rewarded for your efforts, because you can interact with others, to communicate with them and when the opportunity presents itself to disaster or emergency communications offer his community to help.

The selection of amateur radio equipment is largely on how seriously you take your hobby and how much you depend on are willing to invest in this sector. The prices are reasonable amateur radio equipment is commercially available that are involved. It is advisable to talk to other ham operators, please visit the shops, and physically check the equipment before buying. Wireless devices that can connect to remote connection cost much more than those with less wide. The modern equipment such as digital transmission of voice is much more than the simplest models of the wireless telegraph Morse code.

The next hurdle for an amateur radio operator is to obtain a license. Morse code is no longer necessary expertise for the review of the amateur radio operator license. He was expelled at the World Radiocommunication Conference in Geneva in 2003. However, the assay of the label of the ham and the knowledge of the laws of the international communication of knowledge. Once you receive your license, you are free to operate your amateur radio within the allocated bandwidth. They may also modify or alter the device within the specified limits.

As one observer storm formed (not hunters) I need to make an accurate position reports if I (to do as a rule, the call center 9 -1 to 1) reports of severe storms for the National Weather Service and county emergency manager. Through training, we report the distance and direction of the nearest major intersection. This is where problems can enter the equation.

These reports are a network of amateur radio. The assumption is that we clearly pronounce street names, we are in the vicinity, for example. And we know the difference between being on a road, street, avenue, etc.. This is, of course, as long as we can the signs of the road in the rain, the dark side and the winds that we see through. Next consideration is to guess the distance and direction of the next intersection. How accurate is that in a storm? Then comes the question of the position on the map. Is this the card that the person you report your position to have the level of the detailed map to report the roads that help identify you? More importantly do not have all the communications network the same level of detail the map?

The introduction of an elegant solution – APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) connected to a GPS sensor on one side and an amateur radio has a TNC (Terminal Node Controller) forward details of the Ham Radio operator EXACT (approximately 50 feet ) to (effectively) a Google map on the Internet. Anyone anywhere with an Internet connection (and many with only an amateur radio station with no Internet connection) shows the exact location, height and direction (at least) almost instantaneously. Since Google Maps at different levels of detail are zoomed to the desired is only a click or two.

Trajectory is also automatically recorded. A beautiful light blue line connects the red dots represent the points of the APRS unit. A really nice feature of Google Maps APRS (see model in http://APRS.FI) occurs when the mouse pointer over the red spots transfer. A separate red line indicates that listening to the radio amateur station transmitting. With this information you can follow the route to data from the GPS device on the Internet.

Another interesting feature of the data communication via the digital data transmission to the National Weather Service is that many people who have Internet access Google map, the information can be displayed at once.

As a side note, Facebook – Social networking – now has an application that makes this APRS APRS maps available to all your friends at the click of a button from your Facebook page! One possible application is to allow the National Weather Service have been friends for all observers of severe storms. Then they have this information at the click of a button!
